Product Info
Nidecker isn’t the most well known brand in North America, but they have been building some of the best boards in the world for a long time now. Based in Switzerland, Nidecker has been a leader in snowboard design and construction in Europe. So much so that brands like Jones, Slash, and YES. partnered with them when striking out on their own. The Thruster isn't for everyone, and it's not just the name that might be the reason. The Thruster is a full camber directional board, ideal for carving and speed. Not every snowboarder is trying to be in the X-Games and if you don't want to spend your days falling in the park, then you might be more interested in everything else the mountain has to offer. That's where boards like the Thruster come in. The Thruster is an all-mountain carving machine built for fast groomers, laying it over for those who truly like to carve, and pow slashes when the conditions call for it. If the Thruster seems a little tame to you, then we would suggest checking out the Nidecker Megalight.

Directional Shape
Directional shape is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop and power in the tail while providing plenty of float in powder. A softer nose allows for a smoother roll into your carve, while a stiffer waist to tail provides better control through the turn and a stronger finish.
Camber
Full camber profiles are ideal for powerful turns and poppy precision. They offer a snappy suspension with weight distributed evenly across the entire board for smooth, continuous edge control from tip to tail. The support and snap you get from a cambered board is unrivaled by any other camber design.
Flex Rating
The flex of the Thruster comes in above middle of the road at a 7/10 flex. The flex feels a little softer than that, but the board is stable and poppier as an average 7/10.
Skill Level
The Nidecker Thruster is ideal for an inetermediate plus to solid advanced rider. Someone who can is looking to handle faster speeds and steeper lines, but might not be ready for the full expert level lines yet.
N-9000 Base
Produced with carbon nanoparticles, the N-9000 has a very dense molecular structure, which makes it the fastest and most durable base material.
Light Core
Features three different wood types in a perfect combination of paulownia for lightness, poplar for pop and responsiveness, and hardwood beech stringers along the edges to increase core durability, pop and protection from edge impacts.
Triax Plus Glass
The Triax laminate is oriented at 45° to the board, and contains different glass densities. This provides consistent torsional flex, better pop, and more reactivity on every turn.
Pop Carbon
Strategic placement of carbon fiber from the tail to the rear inserts, and from the nose to the front inserts, resulting in a more reactive board, with increased pop and stiffness. The vibration dampening qualities make it ideal for more aggressive riding in all conditions.
Absorbnid Topsheet
Absorbnid is an innovative top layer designed to absorb unwanted vibrations. This allows for a more responsive, dynamic board that will still give you a smooth and fatigue free ride.
SIDE Kick Tech
SideKick lifts your edges at the widest points of the nose and tail resulting in increased float in powder, smoother riding in rough terrain and effortless turn initiation.
Carving Machine
This deck is built on the direct roots of the Nidecker's carving lineage. Lay it out and feel the centrifugal force build.
