Taking inspiration from nature to shape the future of snowboarding

Product Info

Nidecker isn’t the most well known brand in North America, but they have been building some of the best snowboards in the world for a long time now. Based in Switzerland, Nidecker has been a leader in snowboard design and construction in Europe. So much so that brands like Jones, YES., and Slash partnered with them when striking out on their own. Nidecker puts more tech and design into any and all of their boards at every price point than any other brand on our wall here at Berg’s. A mid-flex, directional stance, multi-species wood core, a little carbon, and a fast base make the Alpha a real powerhouse for all-mountain carving. The Biomimicry series from Nidecker is the next evolution step in board shaping and design. Taking inspiration straight from nature with the goal of effortless and smooth riding at the highest level for riders across the spectrum, not just reserved for the pros. And you get all that at a price that others just can’t compete with.

Directional

Directional shape is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop and power in the tail while providing plenty of float in powder. A softer nose allows for a smoother roll into your carve, while a stiffer waist to tail provides better control through the turn and a stronger finish.

Surfy Camrock

The response of camber with the float of rocker. Camber between the feet keeping your contact points on the ground allowing for better edge hold. Compressing the camber will accentuate the rocker by lifting the contact points allowing a more catch free turn and better float in the Pow.

Flex Rating

The flex of the Alpha comes in just above middle of the road. Soft enough to make it accessible to a wide range of riders, but stiff enough to go explore the mountain and rip pow turns.

Skill Level

The Nidecker Alpha is ideal for a solid intermediate rider who knows how to put a board on it’s edge for a proper carve.

N-7000 Base

Developed exclusively for Nidecker, the N-7000 has all the durability and low-maintenance glide of an extruded base, but is as hard as a sintered base. They call it sintruded. You'll call it fast.

Master Core

The Master Core construction is a product of Nicecker's long history of experimentation in materials and woodcraft. It's the perfect harmony of different wood densities and varieties (poplar, beech, spruce, and paulownia), resulting in a superior weight-to-performance-to power ratio, and an ultra-strong, extra-responsive, lightweight core.

Biax Plus Glass

Biax Plus features a classic 90° weave but uses more glass to enhance power transfer. It’s super responsive and ideal for riders seeking a stiffer and more agile board that's still playful.

Pop Carbon

Strategic placement of carbon fiber from the tail to the rear inserts, and from the nose to the front inserts, resulting in a more reactive board, with increased pop and stiffness. The vibration dampening qualities make it ideal for more aggressive riding in all conditions.

Evolution Nose / Drop Out

The 3D curved nose helps the board roll smoothly from edge to edge, creating a natural, surf-like flow through each turn. The Drop Out is derived from the shape of a bird of prey's tail. It generates more control when up on edge, but also allows for extra agility and deep, tight turns.

Absorbnid Topsheet

Absorbnid is an innovative top layer designed to absorb unwanted vibrations. This allows for a more responsive, dynamic board that will still give you a smooth and fatigue free ride.
