The Tapered UnderBite on the YES. PYL delivers the directional drive and float of a tapered board without compromising edge hold or the ability to power out of turns that plagues most tapered boards. The PYL does all this in a more traditional width/length board. The Weightless core and natural dampening brings a refined, high-performance feel to this innovative, award-winning design. So Pick Your Line with the YES. PYL and hold nothing back!

Directional w/ Taper

Directional is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while providing plenty of float in powder. A softer nose allows for a smoother roll into your carve, while a stiffer waist and tail provides better control through the turn and a stronger finish.

Directional CamRock

The response of camber with the float of rocker. Slight camber between the feet keeping your contact points on the ground allowing for better edge hold. Compressing the camber will accentuate the rocker by lifting the contact points allowing a more catch free turn and better float in the Pow.

Skill Level

The technology and shaping of the PYL are best suited for those in the intermediate to advanced level looking for an all-mountain powder board.

Flex Rating

Just on the stiffer side of medium, the PYL has an easy-going but capable flex. Stiff enough to get you through some technical sections, but not so stiff that you’ll be fighting it all day.

Fluid Core (Chubby)

#YES Snowboards' "Chubby core" core is crafted from 50% Poplar and 50% Paulownia. Poplar offers lightweight consistency and flex, enhancing agility. Paulownia, even lighter, ensures weight reduction while maintaining strength. This blend creates a lightweight, responsive, and durable snowboard, perfect for various riding styles and conditions.

Biax Fiberglass

Biaxial or "Biax" fiberglass consists of fibers running in two directions, typically along the length and width of the board. This construction provides a balanced flex pattern, making the snowboard more forgiving and easier to control. It enhances torsional flexibility, allowing for smoother turns and maneuvers, which is particularly beneficial for riders who prioritize a playful and versatile riding experience rather than aggressive performance.

Freestyle I Glass Reinforcement

Introducing Freestyle I: Stringers of carbon mix fiber form a dynamic I-shape from the insert pack to tip at the front of the board. This I design enhances Nose stiffness, increases torsional response, and delivers exceptional stability, especially in the nose for enhanced float.

Sintered Base

#YES Snowboards' sintered bases are crafted by fusing tiny polyethylene particles under heat and pressure, creating a porous, durable surface. Known for superior speed and wax absorption, these bases are favored by advanced riders for their high-performance capabilities in various snow conditions.

Tapered Underbite

More floatation and total edge control. Each side of the board’s effective edge is segmented into 3 distinct parts that step horizontally inward rather than tapering. Traditional “tapered boards” take the full sidecut and pull the tail inward, which is away from the arc of your turn. This is why they tend to wash out under hard carving. Tapered UnderBite corrects this by increasing the sidecut depth as you move towards the tail creating a corrective “hook” to the taper. The board blends into turns effortlessly, and has the directional drive and float you’d expect from a tapered board.
