Great intermediate boot with extra heel hold built into the lacing system.

Product Info

Not all double BOA® boots are built the same and the Salomon Ivy STR8JKT BOA® is a prime example of that. The side BOA® dial on the Launch operates an internal lacing feature called STR8JKT(read straightjacket). This system is anchored behind in the heel pocket with a Spectra lace that pulls the STR8JKT over the top of your foot. Designed to distribute pressure evenly and comfortably all in an effort to keep your heel locked down and your foot right where it’s supposed to be. Paired with one of the smallest heel-pockets on the market, the Launch STR8JKT BOA® is ideal for the snowboarder who is plagued with heel lift.

Online Boot Purchase Disclaimer

Flex Rating

Medium Flex is perfect for riders that want comfort and performance out of their boots, regardless of terrain or riding style.

BOA® H4 Coiler Fit System

The Boa® Fit System delivers micro-adjustable lacing for the perfect fit and support to match your riding style and the conditions. When unlocked the H4 Coiler coils the extra lace for easy and fastest lacing Boa® offers. The TX3 BOA® Lace is a flexible, low-friction textile lace that offers a more traditional flex pattern.

Comfort Custom Fit Liner

Wraps your foot in a soft welcoming hold that delivers instant and long lasting comfort. Featuring multi-density foams that conform to your foot as you break it in or speed up the process with a heat mold treatment from your local boot fitter.

STR8JKT BOA® PRO

The Salomon STR8JKT BOA® PRO is a premier three-point internal harness system that provides the ultimate heel lockdown. Operated by a dedicated, side-mounted BOA® dial, an internal strap actively pulls your foot down and back into the heel pocket, completely eliminating performance-robbing heel lift. What sets the PRO version apart is the integration of an anatomical heel strap that distributes pressure evenly across the ankle. This gives riders immediate edge-to-edge response and a secure, uniform hold without the uncomfortable pressure points or over-tightened outer shell of a traditional boot.

Ortholite C2 Footbed

A dual density insole that molds to your foot for all day comfort.

Heel Grip

An inner zone on your liner dedicated to keeping your feet and socks firmly in place, all day. Feather OutSole w/Contagrip® Rubber - EVA and rubber compound lightweight outsole that delivers cushy comfort and smooth landings.

Feather 2.0 Outsole w/ Contagrip® Rubber

EVA and rubber compound lightweight outsole that delivers cushy comfort and smooth landings. Salomon's patented non-marking, super durable outsole with strategic-placed high-density compounds in areas that are prone to wear. Lower-density compounds are placed throughout to offer more flexibility and grip.

Fit Tip: C width last. Great for those with narrower heels, a wider forefoot, and taller instep.

Fitting Your Boots

Do not buy your boots based on your shoe size.

– To properly assess the fit of any boot you must lace or buckle it completely. The boot will feel small until you do this because your toes will be pushed to the front until laced or buckled. Also, keep in mind all boot liners stretch out and get bigger.

– First, lace or buckle the boot loosely. Next, flex into the boot to drive your heel into the heel pocket. Doing this makes room for your toes. Lastly, finish lacing or buckling the boot in a flexed position.

– Be sure to wear the boots for at least 10 minutes fully laced or buckled before making a determination. Remember these boots are not made for walking, keep your knees slightly bent and flexed forward into riding position. When doing this your heels should be pushed into the back of the boot and your toes should be comfortable.

– You should wear the thinnest sock you are comfortable with. Blood flow is the number one thing that keeps your feet warm. Adding more material around your feet with thicker socks increases the chances of reducing blood flow.

– To help your foot sit properly in your boot, you may consider an aftermarket footbed like Superfeet® or Sidas®. A footbed with arch support, not just cushion, helps align your foot in the shell and alleviates pressure points. Footbeds should be sized to your arch height and length, not your shoe size.

– Spend some time choosing your boots, they are the most important piece of your gear!
