Helly Hansen Emiko Shell Jacket - Women'sby Helly Hansen

Product Info

The Emiko Shell Jacket is built to handle every part of the mountain, from groomers and park laps to side-country missions and everything in between. HELLY TECH® Professional 3-layer construction provides waterproof, windproof, and breathable protection, while fully seam-sealed construction helps keep wet weather out. Inspired by Japanese design, the relaxed, boxy fit gives you room to move and layer, with articulated elbows adding mobility when you’re riding. A helmet-compatible hood with vertical and horizontal adjustments, adjustable powder skirt and cuffs, RECCO®, and secure YKK®-zippered pockets round out this versatile shell.

We recommend this for:

Skiers and riders who want a versatile shell that can handle resort laps, park sessions, groomers, and side-country terrain without feeling overly technical or restrictive.

Technical Features

Warmth Rating

This is an uninsulated 3-layer shell, so it provides essentially no built-in thermal insulation. Its strength is versatility—you can adjust warmth with your base and midlayers depending on conditions.

Waterproof Rating

HELLY TECH® Professional, 3-layer construction, and fully seam-sealed construction provide excellent protection from snow, wind, and wet conditions. While Helly Hansen doesn't publish a specific water column rating, it's generally estimated to perform in the 20K range. A strong choice for storm days, deep snow, and variable resort or freeride conditions.

HELLY TECH® Professional

HELLY TECH® Professional is Helly Hansen’s high-performance waterproof and breathable technology, designed for demanding mountain conditions and extended time outdoors. Its waterproof membrane blocks rain and snow from getting through while allowing sweat and excess heat to escape, helping you stay dry and comfortable during high-output activity. Combined with fully seam-sealed construction, it provides dependable protection when the weather turns wet, snowy, or windy.

RECCO®

RECCO® is a rescue technology designed to help professional rescue teams locate people in the backcountry or mountains. A lightweight, passive reflector integrated into gear responds to signals from a RECCO® detector used by trained rescuers, helping narrow down a person's location during avalanche searches or emergency situations.

Best for: Skiers, snowboarders, and outdoor adventurers who want an added layer of safety when exploring the mountains. RECCO® does not replace avalanche gear, training, or safe decision-making, but it can improve the chances of being located by rescue professionals in an emergency.
