This new backcountry/AT binding is the culmination of input from world class athletes, the best engineers and proven designs from all across the industry. The Guardian 13 is the second true Backcountry binding that embodies Salomon's legendary downhill skiing performance combined with convenient hiking capability. Lower to the ski than any other AT binding, wider contact on the ski for better leverage on wide backcountry skis, and exceptionally stiff torsionally while in hiking mode and most importantly on the fly hike & ride switch. The Guardian 13 will give you access to the whole mountain on and off the trail.
