Product Info
This is one of the coolest unisex boards in Burton's line and one of the best boards to explore different riding styles. The Rewind is a true twin, which is ideal for exploring different stance options and working to ride in any direction. The Rewind’s flex is on the softer side of medium, so it won’t be overly challenging or punish you for mistakes as you are trying new things. The Off-Axis and Fillet-O-Flex constructions both help to make this one of the smoothest flexing boards out there. Combine that with the Channel® construction and you have one of the lightest boards, too. Whether you are working to perfect your carving on the groomers, slashing turns off trail, or presses in the park, the Burton Rewind just may be the board to help you get the job done.
The Channel® mounting system gives you the easiest, most adjustable setup with bindings from all major brands (not just Burton's).
Type of terrain: All Mountain, Park, Powder
Ability Level: Beginner, Intermediate
We recommend this for
The Rewind is for those looking for a mostly camber board with a softer flex. Maybe you are making the transition from a rocker profile to a camber profile board. This board will allow you to continue to progress everywhere on the mountain without being too punishing. If this sounds like you, here is a great option. Asymmetrical Twin
Both the nose and tail are mirrored from the center of the board in both shape and flex. However, with an Asymmetrical Twin, there is a specific side that your heels and toes are meant to face because the opposing edges are of different lengths. This allows for easier and faster turn initiation. The true twin flex allows you to experience the same ride in either direction. Ideal for freestyle minded riding and perfect for anyone, beginners included, to dial in riding switch for all mountain dominance.
PurePop Camber
An evolution of a traditional camber shape, Burton's PurePop Camber profile features subtle flat zones just outside your feet to amplify pop and add playfulness to the snap and response of camber. Early rise tip and tail sections spin and float with a catch-free feel.
Skill Level
We place the skill level right between beginner and intermediate. The Rewind can absolutely be ridden by those who are still getting their bearings and want something to grow into. As for the intermediates, this is great for those who want a softer flexing, mostly camber, board and want to progress all over the mountain.
Flex Rating
The Rewind’s flex is just on the softer side of medium. Very easy to control. Plus, with the added benefit of the camber profile, will still do great at speed.
Sintered Base
Durable and highly porous for superior wax absorption that reduces friction to keep you sliding better and longer. Wax regularly and repair professionally.
Super Fly® 800g Core
An FSC™ Certified dual-species wood core that is loaded with pop and alternates between hard and soft woods to reduce overall weight without limiting performance.
Dualzone EGD™
Engineered wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones perpendicular to the core for more edge-hold, response, and strength.
Off-Axis Squeezebox Low
A core profiling that progressively mills out the core between the bindings, allowing for increased flex where you want it and stability where you need it. Off-Axis tweaks this technologies to match the angles of you typical park stance by having a defined heel edge on the board no matter which foot you ride forward. This anatomical alignment results in better toe and heel edge grip, natural flex around the bindings, and a smoother feel during take offs and landings.
Off-Axis Frostbite Edges
Frostbite extends your edges out slightly beneath your bindings for extra edge hold on hard and icy conditions. Less grabby than other traction features from other brands, Frostbite works when you need it and doesn't trip you up when you don't. Off-Axis tweaks this technologies to match the angles of your typical park stance.
Pro-Tip
A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.
Tri-Ax Fiberglass
The glass strands are woven together in three directions at 45°, 45°, and 0°. Triax™ provides torsionally softer flex for lighter riders while providing the strength and response needed for everything from mini to mega shred.
Super Sap® Epoxy
Epoxies and resins are often petroleum-based, which is why Burton partnered with Entropy Resins on Super Sap®, a resin formulated with bio-based materials that reduce its carbon footprint by 50% over conventional all-petroleum based epoxies.
Infinite Ride
A special machine that allows Burton to overbuild their boards and then break them in so that they ride the same on the 100th day as they did on the first day out of the wrapper.
