The Jones Stratos is a favorite among the carving fiends here at Berg’s. It is a perfect balance of directional shape with taper, camber with rocker in the nose, and progressive sidecut that make the Stratos a carving dream on the groomers and a steep terrain monster that slashes pow with the best of them. Pair all that with a fast 9900 sintered black base for race level speeds and basalt stringers that provide optimal transfer of energy while dampening chatter that just make this a capable and fun board for the carving speed demons out there. Technical Features

Directional w/ 10mm Taper

Directional tapered shapes lend themselves for a great carving feel and easy floatation in powder. The taper lends itself to not only dropping into the powder to raise the nose up, but also to rebound and slingshot you out of deep carves.

Directional Camber

Directional camber sets the camber zone of the profile back towards the tail, which creates a rocker zone in the nose. This helps the nose float in powder while the shifted camber zone keeps the power and snap of the board through carves and side hits.

The flex of the Stratos lends itself to the intermediate and advanced riders who enjoy a powerful and precise ride.

Flex Rating

Just on the stiffer side of medium, the Stratos is forgiving enough to cruise around the mountain, but rail a turn when you want to get more serious.

3D Base Contour 3.0

Freeride focused 3D Contour Base featuring 7mm of spoon bevel in the nose and 0 to 7mm of spoon bevel in the tail. Spoon bevel starts at the rocker point.

Ultra Core

Dual-density premium wood core made of mostly paulownia with specially positioned poplar stringers for better durability and turn power.

Biax Fiberglass

A dual-direction, dual-layer, stitched fiberglass laminate that provides a fun, forgiving and snappy ride.

Sustainable Basalt Stringers

Sustainable strength. Basalt stringers are made with 100% natural fibers and help transfer power to the edges, improve torsional response and absorb board chatter.

Sintered 9900 Base

Made from Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) and Carbon. This ultra-fast base is easy to repair thanks to the UHMW-PE.

Float Insert Pack

Allows super setback stance for deep pow days.

WEND Natural Wax

An extra set of binding inserts are located further near the tail of the board for those extra deep days.

Oversized Recycled Edges

All Jones boards are made with oversized recycled steel edges for added durability and improved production sustainability.

Recycled ABS Sidewalls
