The Nitro Drop is a fresh edition to our shop this season. With the added interest in snowboarding over the last few years new riders are graduating into experienced riders and many need an upgrade. With a camber dominant profile and a setback ideal for speed and powder, the Drop is built for the rider looking to pick up the speed on the groomers and explore every inch of the mountain when the powder is calling.

Technical Features

Directional Shape

Directional shape is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while providing plenty of float in powder. A softer nose allows for a smoother roll into your carve, while a stiffer waist and tail provides better control through the turn and a stronger finish.

Cam-Out Camber

Basically True Camber with early and smooth transitions into tip and tail. The camber between the feet keeps your contact points on the ground allowing for better edge hold. Compressing the camber will accentuate the rocker by lifting the contact points allowing a more catch free turn and better float in the powder. 

Skill Level

The Drop is just on the advanced side of the skill level. A great board for those looking to continue progressing and have reached their intermediate - intermediate+ stage.

Dual Degressive Sidecut

This sidecut blends a smaller radius in the center with two larger ones in the tip and tail, making the board easier to maneuver in and out of turns while creating more stability at the ends, especially for taking off and landing jumps. 

Flex Rating

The 6/10 flex of the Drop is in that perfect flex rating to give the rider stability and control, while still being very playful and forgiving.

Powercore

This core uses tip to tail poplar wood, providing lightweight strength and the perfect blend of flex, response, and feel for predictable turns and stability.
