The Japow is Weston response to the deepest snow on the planet. With a directional, Camber-Pow Rocker Nose with a Swallowtail, the shape will save your calves and make for effortless float and massive pow slashes. The Japow features Weston's Rugged Topsheet made from castor bean oil to add durability/snow-shedding, a top of the line Sintered Base for speed, Tail V Carbon reinforcement for added pop, and their sustainably harvested poplar/bamboo core for pop and stability. This splitboard will keep you afloat while weaving through tight trees or laying down surf inspired carves on the groomers. For the finishing touches on this splitboard, Weston uses active latching Karakoram Ultraclips to help create as close to a solid board feel as possible and limit chatter between sections. Additionally, they design with camber underfoot so that you'll have optimum skin traction for the uphill, and edge-hold on the downhill. A slight shift of the touring bracket forward to create a heavier tail also allows for ease of kick-turns in the skin track. *1% for the Planet*

Technical Features

Directional Shape is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while providing plenty of float in powder and a smoother roll into your carve. 

Taper

Having a narrower tail than nose allows for the rear of the board to drop in powder which lifts the nose of the board above the fluff requiring less back leg fatigue on the best days of the season. This also allows for a tighter turn radius on a wider board for, especially in narrow chutes and tight trees.

Slayer Split Core

A poplar and bamboo wood core with carbon stringers designed to be light but powerful and responsive.

Tri-Axe Glass

Multi-axis, stitched fiberglass laminate that offers a precise and responsive ride in any condition.

V-Shaped Tail Carbon Stringers

Carbon fiber runs from the tail inserts to the tail contact points to provide added edge to edge response and spring in the tail.
