New One Piece Liner

A one piece liner for more comfortability. The padding is in one piece, so now there are no breaks from the lower ankle up or from the lower foot to upper. The thermoformability of the liner allows the shape of the materials to be adapted to the skier’s morphology for greater precision. This gives you a clean consistent fit that follows the anatomy of your foot for better support and more power. 

Women’s Specificities

Women’s specific cuff and shell. The cuff and shell have been adapted to better fit the shape of a woman’s calf, with lower medial and lateral sides, and a shorter upper cuff (-14mm). The tulip shapped opening improves comfort, support, and power transmission.

Auxetic Technology

Auxetic Technology is a transformation of bi-dimension material into a 3 dimentional fit during thermoformage stage of your boot fitting. This allows for a a better fitting boot that follows your natural shape better.

Assisted Performance System

Shadow is the first ski boot with an assisted performance & suspension system. This system, combines two innovations; dual pivot and the suspension blade. These allow you to get more out than you put in for assisted efficiency. With a more efficient power transfer you can obtain 26% of rebound, using less energy.

Adjustable Performance - Flex Adjust

By putting two elastomers on the two pivot points: below the leverage point and in the top of the suspension blade, you have 4 different stiffness options. If you prefer your boot to be more solid on the bottom, you can put a stiffer elastomere on the dual pivot and vice versa if you prefer a softer top. The performance level of your boot is now yours to decide.

Suspension Blade

The suspension blade is an external blade that comes accross the back of the upper cuff and connects to the lower heel. With this new innovation, you have a smooth connection between upper and lower, to move together. This gets you more shock absorption and suspension, while putting more power and energy into your skiing. The upper elastomere adjusts the flex feel in the upper part of the turn and the snap/rebound.

Dual Pivot

With traditional boots on the market, you have a pivot point and two fixed points very close to each other. With the new Shadow, Lang put more distance between those fixed points to create a mechanical advantage. This will allow you to engage the full length of the boot, instead of just a concentrated part.
