There have always been shifts and trends in snowboarding and the last few years we have seen a return of camber as well as directional shapes...enter the GNU 4X4. A stiffer flexing board that is ideal for all-mountain carving and powder slashing, the 4X4 is best suited for the solid intermediate to advanced rider who wants a capable all-terrain board. The camber dominant C3 profile adds just a touch of rocker between the feet that not only makes it easier to flex into a turn, it increases edge hold between the feet throughout the turn for superior edge-hold.

The Sintered Sublimated base is ideal for the snowboarder who likes speed. Keep this base well waxed and it will keep you flying at top speed. The G-Lite 2 core is built with Aspen and Paulownia for a lighter construction that is still damp at higher speeds. To top things off the Tri-Ax/Bi-Ax fiberglass layup provides the pop and power you need to get off the ground and boost out of turns, but the torsional flex you want to adjust your edges throughout your carve by ankle steering. Whether you are digging trenches on the groomers or pow slashing the GNU 4X4 might just be the board you are looking for. 

Technical Features

Directional Shape

Directional shape is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while providing plenty of float in powder. A softer nose allows for a smoother roll into your carve, while a stiffer waist and tail provides better control through the turn and a stronger finish.

C3 Camber

Built with traditional contact points, C3 is the closest you'll get to real camber with the addition of rocker. The board bows up off the ground between the contacts points, but also has a mild amount of rocker between the feet. This allows for increased edge contact between the feet throughout your turn. 

G-Lite 2 Core

FSC Certified aspen wood core with paulownia stringers running down it create an affordable lightweight board that still provides strength and pop when you need it.

Magne-Traction® Edges

Strategically located and sized edge serrations provide unreal edge hold and control in all conditions. Allowing you to lay down your edge confidently on the iciest days. 

Sintered Sublimated Base

A high density sintered base like this one is ideal for the best glide over the snow. Its porous structure is optimal for wax retention while the high density is tough and smoother than other sintered bases. All this reduces friction to keep you sliding better and longer. Wax regularly and repair professionally.
