Salomon Kiana Dual Boa Snowboard Boots - Women's by Salomon
Product Info
The Salomon Kiana uses the best of the best dual BOA® lacing systems. Often called Focus BOA®, the two BOA® dials focus on two different zones. The dual zone approach is designed to have one zone to secure the upper cuff around your calf and one to secure your forefoot over your instep. This gives you superior hold by allowing for you to adjust tension where you want and need it, as where the single zone approach gives you one tension throughout the boot. This ends up causing people to over tighten one area or leaving one loose leading to poor performance and/or a reduction in blood flow putting your feet to sleep and making them cold. Combined with the Response Custom Liner and Ortholite C2 footbed, the ultimate comfort and fit is now within reach for all who have suffered for too long.

Flex Rating
Medium Flex is perfect for riders that want comfort and performance out of their boots, regardless of terrain or riding style.
H4/M2 Dual Zone BOA® Coiler Fit System
Two separate dials and lace paths work with the boot’s cuff to isolate fit into two distinct zones. The upper zone dials in flex and stability, the lower zone locks the forefoot. Focus BOA® delivers a dual zone BOA® Fit System that allows the rider to adjust articulation on both lower and upper zones of the boot.
Response Custom Fit Liner
Fully heat-moldable liners featuring multidensity foams that offer support and comfort where you need it most. Response liners also feature our new perforated Quickdry Insole to keep your toes dry and comfortable.
Precision Harness
An adjustable internal heel strap that locks down your liner for maximum support.
Ortholite C2 Footbed
A dual density insole that molds to your foot for all day comfort.
Heel Grip
An inner zone on your liner dedicated to keeping your feet and socks firmly in place, all day. Feather OutSole w/Contagrip® Rubber - EVA and rubber compound lightweight outsole that delivers cushy comfort and smooth landings.
DAMPLite+ OutSole w/Contagrip® Rubber
The perfect mix of grippy rubber and an ultra dampening EVA blend.
Fit To Ride Construction
FTR construction is 10% lighter and 10% more compact without sacrificing comfort or durability. With 1:1 lasting every half size change in liner gets a half size change in shell.
Fitting Your Boots
Do not buy your boots based on your shoe size.
– To properly assess the fit of any boot you must lace or buckle it completely. The boot will feel small until you do this because your toes will be pushed to the front until laced or buckled. Also, keep in mind all boot liners stretch out and get bigger.
– First, lace or buckle the boot loosely. Next, flex into the boot to drive your heel into the heel pocket. Doing this makes room for your toes. Lastly, finish lacing or buckling the boot in a flexed position.
– Be sure to wear the boots for at least 10 minutes fully laced or buckled before making a determination. Remember these boots are not made for walking, keep your knees slightly bent and flexed forward into riding position. When doing this your heels should be pushed into the back of the boot and your toes should be comfortable.
– You should wear the thinnest sock you are comfortable with. Blood flow is the number one thing that keeps your feet warm. Adding more material around your feet with thicker socks increases the chances of reducing blood flow.
– To help your foot sit properly in your boot, you may consider an aftermarket footbed like Superfeet® or Sidas®. A footbed with arch support, not just cushion, helps align your foot in the shell and alleviates pressure points. Footbeds should be sized to your arch height and length, not your shoe size.
– Spend some time choosing your boots, they are the most important piece of your gear!
