The CAPiTA Black Snowboard of Death (B.S.O.D.) is in a category few other boards can match. As one of the upper echelon boards in the CAPiTA line, the B.S.O.D. is built with all the tech, design, and inspiration CAPiTA could throw into one package. Some won't care about all the tech in this board and that's fine, the B.S.O.D. is not for everyone, but this tech isn't just to be fancy. The tech is there to give the rider the best experience possible on the hill. The tech is there to make this one of the most capable snowboards in the most aggressive terrain. Though this board isn't for the mellow cruiser and definitely not for the beginner who thinks this board looks cool, that doesn't mean that the B.S.O.D. has to be pushed to the max every time your on it, but we do believe the B.S.O.D. is best suited for someone who knows what they are getting and what to do with it. Technical Features

Directional

Directional shape is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while providing plenty of float in powder. A softer nose allows for a smoother roll into your carve, while a stiffer waist and tail provides better control through the turn and a stronger finish.

Alpine V1 Camber

A combination of traditional camber, zero camber, and reverse camber. This profile design features mid-body camber with a flat tail and a reverse cambered nose. This allows for tons of pop and stability on hard pack while increasing float and landing power, improving the rider’s performance in deep snow. The camber runs longer in the tail—providing extra power and hold for ripping groomers.

New Age Progressive Death Grip™ Sidecut

A progressive sidecuts that incorporate a reverse sidecut arc in the midsection of the board. Due to a reduced effective edge as a result of hybrid camber shapes, this reverse camber arc provides a point of contact between the feet to retain control throughout the turn and is affectionately referred to as Death Grip™.

Flex Rating

CAPITA rates this board at a 6.5 out of 10. We have found that it feels slightly stiffer than that, but is still closer to the medium range. Not too stiff, not too soft. Great for all-mountain riding.
