The Nitro Magnum is built for those who do not have what we call petite feet, but who can still shred and need a board that can handle what they throw at it. With a camber dominant profile and a setback ideal for speed and powder, the SMP is built for the rider who can handle their speed on the groomers and can’t stay out of the trees when the powder is calling. This is a wide board in all sizes!

Technical Features

Directional Shape

Directional shape is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while providing plenty of float in powder. A softer nose allows for a smoother roll into your carve, while a stiffer waist and tail provides better control through the turn and a stronger finish.

Cam-Out Camber

Basically True Camber with early and smooth transitions into tip and tail. The camber between the feet keeps your contact points on the ground allowing for better edge hold. Compressing the camber will accentuate the rocker by lifting the contact points allowing a more catch free turn and better float in the powder. 

Dual Degressive Sidecut

This sidecut blends a smaller radius in the center with two larger ones in the tip and tail, making the board easier to maneuver in and out of turns while creating more stability at the ends, especially for taking off and landing jumps. 

Power Pods

Overlaying a tighter sidecut radius in the center of the board with a larger one towards the tip and tail is creating Nitro’s exclusive Power Pods. This extends the board width underfoot resulting in additional edge control while reducing toe and heel drag. This also makes the board more reactive and fast turning once it is on edge.

Powerlite Core

The highest grade of ultra-lightweight popular wood for the perfect ride with lots of pop and unmatched strength at a minimum weight.
