Upgrade to more power and comfort, but keep the classic Vans style.

Product Info

Built upon the OG platform the Encore Pro offers a lot of upgrades starting with the dual zone Focus Boa®. This allows for the best dialed in fit with three points of adjustment, the liner pull, upper Boa® dial, and lower Boa® dial. This is far superior to the single Boa® with only two points of adjustment, allowing you to distribute pressure where you want it and relax pressure where you don't want it. Next you get a stiffer boot which provides more efficient power transfer when you start exploring more aggressive terrain and higher speeds. The Encore Pro also comes with and upgrade to the inside as well with increased heel hold with the V2 harness, extra cushion in the V2 liner and the V2 PopCush footbed. And all of this is built on top of the V2 Waffle sole with improved flex points and added grip. The Encore Pro may be the upgrade you need while keeping all the classic Vans style you love.

Skill Level

Flex Rating

Intermediate boots are ideal for the rider who needs more control and support whether you are an all-mountain cruiser or the rider looking to bridge the gap from beginner to advance.

Medium flexing boots are great for the increased speeds of blue runs and exploring off trail. They will have some limits as you push max speeds or the steepest of terrain, but will get the job done for the average all-mountain rider who is still exploring all the mountain has to offer.

Vans BOA® Fit Coiler

This tongue-mounted dual dial provides an effortless, precision fit for on-the-fly micro-adjustments for both the upper and lower zones of the boot. A spring-loaded coiler spool automatically retracts cable lace slack for a quick and efficient fit.

V2 Ultracush Liner w/ Smartwool Liner

Ultracush provides an interior cushioning layer for all day comfort, a dual density heat moldable core for a more custom fit, a flexible neoprene toe box, with microsuede cuff and tongue. The V2 liner is made with soft, odor resistant, moisture managing Merino wool from Smartwool.

Heat Retention 360°

All Vans snowboard boots feature a newly improved thermal retention layer that provides a 360° wrap of the liner that keeps heat in and cold out, ensuring all-day warmth and comfort.

Pleasure Cuff

The supple elasticity of the PleasureCuff delivers a cushioned, comfortable fit that keeps your calves supported.

Instep Flex Zone (Boa® Specific)

The Instep Flex Zone functions to maintain natural ankle flexion in your boot, whether in or out of your bindings.

V2 PopCush Footbed

A dual density construction footbed with advanced 3D molded anatomical shape provides support while reducing foot fatigue. Built with airflow perforations and a Nylex moisture wicking top sheet for when things heat up. Added TPU arch support and heel clip provides stability while allowing torsional flex.

V2 Waffle Lug Outsole

The V2 Waffle Pro is a progressively inspired and capability driven design built for both on and off snowboard performance. Uncompromising natural flex and a weight reducing, impact resisting UltraCush midsole provide incredible boardfeel, while a Vans-exclusive pattern and All-Trac rubber cold weather compound give you the confidence you need to scramble the side country with confidence.

Fitting Your Boots

– To properly assess the fit of any boot you must lace or buckle it completely. The boot will feel small until you do this because your toes will be pushed to the front until laced or buckled. Also, keep in mind all boot liners stretch out and get bigger.

– First, lace or buckle the boot loosely. Next, flex into the boot to drive your heel into the heel pocket. Doing this makes room for your toes. Lastly, finish lacing or buckling the boot in a flexed position.

– Be sure to wear the boots for at least 10 minutes fully laced or buckled before making a determination. Remember these boots are not made for walking, keep your knees slightly bent and flexed forward into riding position. When doing this your heels should be pushed into the back of the boot and your toes should be comfortable.

– You should wear the thinnest sock you are comfortable with. Blood flow is the number one thing that keeps your feet warm. Adding more material around your feet with thicker socks increases the chances of reducing blood flow.

– To help your foot sit properly in your boot, you may consider an aftermarket footbed like Superfeet® or Sidas®. A footbed with arch support, not just cushion, helps align your foot in the shell and alleviates pressure points. Footbeds should be sized to your arch height and length, not your shoe size.

– Spend some time choosing your boots, they are the most important piece of your gear!
