Matt Biolos and the experiMENTAL division updated all of the Lib X... lost models this year. This Japan inspired floaty nosed, powder loving swallow tail, all mountain ripping, wall hanger got some stylish shape refinements and a new elliptical deep sidecut carving engine. The Retro Ripper loves riding in the storm or quiet meditative woodsy hikes into secret pow stashes for days after the last snowfall. This thing is made for smooth speedy lines and explosive slashes... take an average day and make it more surfy... take a great pow day and make a memory that lasts a lifetime. Long floaty low entry nose, 2" set back camber synced with a hard driving progressive sidecut, beautiful Biolos lines and shape with a tail settling, nose lifting, carve enhancing swallow tail. It‘s not really retro it’s timeless... the new sidecuts are guaranteed to blow your mind.

TECHNICAL SPECS
Directional w/ Taper - Tail width is slightly tapered (16 mm) narrower than the nose width. This loosens up turning initiation on the groomers for a smoother and easier ride without sacrificing edge hold on hardpack. This also improves floatation in deeper by allowing the tail to sink lower so the nose can rise above the pow for a surfier ride and reduced back leg fatigue so you can stay out longer on those perfect days.

C3 Camber - Built with traditional contact points, C3 is the closest you'll get to real camber with the addition of rocker. The board bows up off the ground between the contacts points, but also has a mild amount of rocker between the feet. This allows for increased edge contact between the feet throughout your turn.

Sintered Knife Cut Base - A high density sintered base like this one is ideal for the best glide over the snow. Its porous structure is optimal for wax retention while the high density is tough and smoother than other sintered bases. All this reduces friction to keep you sliding better and longer. Wax regularly and repair professionally.

Magne-Traction® Edges - Seven strategically located and sized edge serrations provide unreal edge hold and control in all conditions. Allowing you to lay down your edge confidently on the iciest days.

Original Power [OP] Construction Core - A FSC certified 75% Aspen / 25% Paulownia wood core built to be light and tough with pop and power. The sidewalls are layered with internal end grain birch and the external is wrapped in UHMW polyethylene. The birch is there to improve edge hold and stability, while the UHMW polyethylene dampens vibration and protects from impacts. Uniquely Lib Tech also adds a healthy dose of UHMW polyethylene to the tip & tail for impact deflection. This makes repairs easier and significantly reduces the chance of damaging the core when the unfortunate happens.

Tri-Ax / Bi-Ax Glass - A combination of Tri-Ax and Bi-Ax glass allows for flex where you want it, but stability, strength, and pop when you need it.
