The Jones Flagship started out as the flagship model for the brand, but really has become the flagship for freeride boards period. Directional with taper, camber underfoot with rocker in the nose, race level sintered base, basalt stringers, and boy-howdy stiff to handle the steepest, most aggressive terrain at whatever speed you are brave enough to attempt. There’s a lot that has been said about this board over the years, so we’ll try not to blather on. Ultimately this isn’t your daily driver for your local hill, unless that’s Mt. Baker or the like. Keep this board up at speed and off trail and you’ll have a blast.  NOTE: Base colors flip-flop at random. Please call Bergs for an update on your order regarding color options.

Directional

Directional shape is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while providing plenty of float in powder. A softer nose allows for a smoother roll into your carve, while a stiffer waist and tail provides better control through the turn and a stronger finish.

Taper

Having a narrower tail than nose allows for the rear of the board to drop in powder which lifts the nose of the board above the fluff, reducing back leg fatigue on the best days of the season. This also allows for a tighter turn radius on a wider board, especially in narrow chutes and tight trees.

Sintered 9900 Base

Premium base material made from Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) and carbon. Base is highly wax absorbent, easy to repair and wicked fast.

3D Base Contour

This base shaping technology reduces drag, increases glide, flow, and float. This means higher speeds, improved fluidity during carves, and effortless float through powder, crud, or crusty snow. The 1.0 version offering 7mm of spoon bevel in the nose and tail. Spoon bevel starts at the rocker point.

Traction Tech 3.0 Edges

Traction Tech 3.0 features three bumps per edge (front binding, board center, back binding). The middle bump is slightly bigger than the outside bumps for better grip.

Progressive Sidecut

The sidecut radius is incrementally increased from the center as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.
