Product Info

There isn’t much you can say about the Burton Custom that hasn’t been said since its inception in 1996, but I guess we’ll try. We think the best accolade to mention about the Custom is that every other brand has tried to replicate it. Most won’t admit it, but it’s easy to see once you know what to look for. A slight directional shape, mild setback stance, and taper combined with a twin flex are the main ingredients that make the Custom so versatile. It’s so versatile that the Custom is equipped to handle groomers, park laps, and even pow lines. The board has been such a hit that other than aesthetics the shape hasn’t changed since it’s inception, just nose and tail shapes and technology upgrades. So whether you are looking to conquer your local mountain, push your limits, win gold at the Olympics(wouldn’t be the first podium for this board), the Burton Custom may just be want you are looking for. Still not sure if the Custom is right for you, just ask us. Multiple employees here at Berg’s own a Custom.

The Channel® mounting system gives you the easiest, most adjustable setup with bindings from all major brands (not just Burton's). **This is the Cambered version - Comes in a Flying V Rocker version** FEATURES • Directional Twin • Camber • 7/10 Flex • The Channel® • Balanced Freeride Geometry • Sintered WFO Base • Super Fly II™ 700G Core • Dualzone™ EGD™ • Squeezebox • Frostbite Edges • Pro-Tip • Triax™ w/ 45° Carbon Highlights • Super Sap® Epoxy • Infinite Ride • 3-Year Manufacture Warranty TECHNICAL SPECS Directional Twin - Take a twin board and a directional board then split the difference. With a stance that is mildly setback from center that allows for easier float in the pow, but not so far back that you can still ride switch with ease, making this one of the most versatile options for a one board quiver.   Camber - A Camber Bend advocates powerful turns and poppy precision, offering snappy suspension with weight distributed evenly across the entire board for smooth, continuous edge control from tip to tail. Balanced Freeride Geometry - Setback camber and a sidecut that is centered on your stance to create a twin freestyle feel when riding flat base. On edge it turns tight and quick with the float and prowess expected from a directional deck. Sintered WFO Base - WFO Base infuses specially formulated wax deep into the pores of the extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material, making it ultra-fast and ultra-durable for riding all season in any condition.  Super Fly II™ 700G Core - A FSC™ Certified dual-species wood core that is loaded with pop and alternates between hard and soft woods to reduce overall weight without limiting performance. Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight. Dualzone™ EGD™ - Engineered wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones perpendicular to the core for more edge-hold, response, and strength.  Squeezebox – A core profiling that progressively mills out the core between the bindings, allowing for increased flex where you want it and stability where you need it. Frostbite Edges - Frostbite extends your edges out slightly beneath your bindings for extra edge hold on hard and icy conditions. Less grabby then other traction features from other brands, Frostbite works when you need it and doesn't trip you up when you don't need it.    Pro-Tip – A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility. Triax™ w/ 45° Carbon Highlights - The glass strands are weaved together in three directions at 45°, 45°, and 0°. This allows for a softer flexing board for presses while maintaining strength, pop, and response needed for everything from mini to mega shred. Carbon Highlights optimizes each layer of the fiberglass matrix and adds a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to reduce weight and fine tune torsional feel to achieve different ride characteristics.  Super Sap® Epoxy - Epoxies and resins are often petroleum-based, which is why Burton partnered with Entropy Resins on Super Sap®, a resin formulated with bio-based materials that reduce its carbon footprint by 50% over conventional all-petroleum based epoxies. Infinite Ride - A special machine that allows Burton to overbuild their boards and then break them in so that they ride the same on the 100th day as they did on the first day out of the wrapper.
