Fritschi officially calls the Vipec Evo a Safety Tech binding, but it is so much more. The Viper 12 EVO brings touring, turning and safety all into one perfect lightweight package. What it does have, is a very different release characteristics than most other tech bindings. That s because the binding releases laterally at the toe instead of the heel. This aligns any unnatural twisting torque with the axis of your tibia, just like TUV certified alpine bindings. And now the "Black" model has its papers too, recently achieving standards certification. With more lateral elasticity, a longer toe-lever for easier locking, and a smoother step-in trigger, the updated version is a better all-around binding than its predecessor.
Safety Tech System features a defined front lateral release in both ski and walk mode for skiing and avalanche safety
Integrated dynamic range in both heel and toe ensures predictable release
Easy Switch heel and toe allow changes between ski and walk mode without stepping out of the binding
Three-level heel riser
Micro-adjustable width wings help compatibility with any model tech insert
