The Voile Release Kit can convert any Voile brand non-release telemark binding to a release binding. The Release Adapter Plate accepts any 3-hole telemark binding toe-piece.

Voile has added a solid new innovation to our telemark release binding line. Using our new in-house CAD/CAM design and manufacturing system, we are proud to offer the 20mm V-tech riser. The V-tech riser dramatically improves the overall function and performance of the Voile Release Binding. It provides a consistent release,retention, and is the only telemark release binding that will release in a backward fall. The backward fall is typically how most knee injuries are sustained. Perhaps more importantly, it is recommended equipment for skiing in avalanche prone terrian. Having a release system increases the chance of separation of you and your skis, thus helping to prevent injury and deep burial if caught in an avalanche.

The 20mm V-tech riser is a 2 stage mount, where all hardware is pre-mounted to the riser and the riser is mounted to the ski. The riser has an industry standard 4-hole pattern in order to mount directly to skis with pre-installed threaded inserts. The 20mm V-tech riser is molded from superior strength glass-filled nylon. The riser platform is ramped to eliminate complications from the natural curve or "rocker" of a telemark boot. Finally, the release unit is factory assembled and tested to provide only the highest quality telemark binding.

A major new benefit, the V-tech riser provides an easier re-entry to the binding after an on-snow release. A deep slot at the rear of the binding riser allows the binding clearance for re-entry, but does not affect the release or retention. With your boot still attached to the binding toe-piece you can step back into the release unit with ease. As a matter of fact, compared to previous models, it takes approx. 50% less force to step back into the binding after an on-snow release.

The Voile Release Kit has a choice of 2 brakes widths for different width skis. The Alpine fits 68mm to 80mm waist skis and the X-wide fits 82mm to 92mm waist skis. You can also chose different release spring tensions: Standard, Competition, and Junior.
