It locks into place with a simple, strong pop-button. The probe includes 5cm increment anodized depth markings for accurate snow depth checks. Stainless steel cable has adjustment knob to adjust cable tension if probe loose when assembled. Includes nylon storage bag. Storage bag has strap loops to strap probe to shovel handle.
