The synthetic racing cork is for smoothing layers after scraping wax on the base of skis and snowboards. Makes em' faster and smoother riding by taking down the high spots and making them all smooth. Bonus is it creates heat so you actually get more wax in your base so it lasts longer. The racing cork has a higher density than the traditional synthetic cork.
