Racer Chaser Ski Leash: While most parents use these leashes as a run-away strap, ski leashes are highly effective learn-to-turn devices for kids ages 2 through 8. Use these for tots and kids strong enough to balance on skis and slide down gentle slopes, but not yet able to turn and control speed in a wedge position. For any child inexperienced enough to need a ski leash also recommend a Tip Lock or Edgie Wedgie, and maybe a Wedge Lock as well... Outdoor Kids Moms and Dads consider this a life-critical piece of equipment. If you are going to ski with young kids, you must be able to protect them from sliding away from you. It takes a fraction of a second for them to pull away from you and risk hitting trees, other skiers, and buildings. I have used these a few times and its really amazing how well they work. I would use nothing else on my kids!!!
