Tech Specs: - WINDSTOPPER®: Most non-GORE-TEX® windproof fabrics are either not breathable, or only marginally so. In contrast, GORE-TEX® WINDSTOPPER® fleece is both totally windproof and very breathable. The fabric is a three-part laminate-the breathable/ windproof GORE-TEX® membrane is sandwiched between durable face fabrics ans soft moisture moving linings. GORE-TEX® WINDSTOPPER® garments are the perfect insulation layer under a shell or used as an outer layer.
- Deflection™ Soft Shell: 94% polyester, 6% elastane bonded soft shell construction that is wind resistant and breathable. Face fabric is a combination of polyester and elastane interlaced in a plain weave construction. Back fabric is polyester micro fleece. 9.7 oz./sq. yd.
- DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a treatment applied fabrics in order to make them water resistant. DWR's prevent fabrics that are exposed to the elements from absorbing moisture, or "wetting out". By preventing water from being absorbed into face fabrics a DWR assists in maintaining fabric breathability. DWR's naturally wear away over time and should be reapplied by the as needed. DWR treatments adhere "nano-thin" and therefore have minimal impact on a fabrics natural feel.
