The Duke is a big-mountain freeskiing binding with alpine touring capabilities. Designed for the skier who wants to be able to ascend in the back country, yet still jump cliffs and ski varied conditions during the descent.
Description
Designed from the ground-up for the modern free-rider, the Duke has all of the know-how and ski performance experience garnered by Marker over more than 50 years with the additional hiking mode desired by the back country skier. Unlike the competition, we did not take a touring binding and design a "freeride" marketing plan. Marker developed a 16 DIN freeride binding and added a touring feature. Features like an easily adjustable locking lever and two-position walking aid are standard on the Duke, and Marker has also built the binding first with the power transmission and direct power transfer required to turn the most extreme couloir into a walk in the park.
