Thanks to Epinions.com there is a great review about Little Bear Snowshoes:
"I guess you have to ask yourself why you are looking at Little Bear Snow Shoes. (you will notice that this is not my original review. The intent is the same, but as I got several "Recommended", and a "somewhat recommended" I decided that I should clarify. I hope this is more informative.
We are a very recreational family, and we wish to include our son as often as possible. So when we sought snowshoes for him, expense was not the primary consideration.
We were looking for a shoe that stayed on his feet, was well balanced, had good floatation, were light weight, and would accomodate a 3 year olds walking style.
While there were many traditional snowshoe designs on the market, The little bears made the most sense in that they were exceptionally light, very very affordable, and had a well designed (although flimsey looking) binding. The wide design gave me some concern as I thought that they might "bump" but so far that has not happened. My son walks a good distance in them, does not complain about the nature of snowshoeing, has never had a binding problem, and rarely requires assistance regardless of the terrain. To me, this warrants an A+ fpr little bear snowshoes.
Little Bears do look like toys, but they work very well. Want to know if you should get your kids little bear snowshoes? Absolutely. I highly recommend them. (so does my son). "
