Designed for general touring in rolling backcountry terrain the XCD GT will take you anywhere. . .
Description
The renewed commitment to the XCD again this year is by redesigning the XCD GT with a new core construction that's slimmer in profile and lighter in weight. The GT has camber and a half for a true XCD feel and the superior efficeincy of the Omnitrak® NoWax® base, and it gets a touch more sidecut for easier turning. Still a classic blend of Nordic and downhill design, the GT will kick, glide and turn with ease. The GT is best paired with the XCD Traverse boot, Rossignol BCX 9 or the Garmont Venture 75mm.

Karhu helped pioneer the sport of Telemark skiing with the first XCD skis when skiers like Dickie Hall, Alan Bard, and Ned Gillette asked for Nordic touring skis with metal edges. Karhu XCD history includes some amazing, unrepeated traverses in faraway places, but the fun of XCD skiing is that it can happen closer to home. XCD skiing is the winter equivalent of mountain biking, and the customer is the same. Touring through rolling terrain and making turns through low-angle glades or on a logging road is thrilling on XCD equipment
