Two years ago, Holden released a groundbreaking new hemp-fiber outerwear fabric that was highly waterproof and much more environmentally friendly than the polyester-based or nylon fabrics on the market at the time. Since then, several other major outerwear brands have followed their lead in pursuing alternative, natural fiber fabrics. They take pride in the fact that there's now a legitimate eco niche in the world of snow outerwear.
Holden operates from the inside out with environmental consciousness. They're continually searching out and developing better, more eco-minded materials, laminates, and even packaging material. They've also updated the glue and improved the hemp fabric this season.
The Hilda Jacket is made up of Oxford and Houndstooth fabrics. The Oxford; This mid-weight nylon oxford weave has a nice military look with a natural hand feel. It features a nonporous laminate of 10,000mm waterproofness and 10,000g breathability. The Houndstooth; A heavier weight yarn dye polyester, with a twill weave. It has a natural hand feel and matte finish. The Cavalry Twill fabric is a heavy twill weave polyester fabric with mechanical stretch and a soft hand feel and classic appearance.
