A do-anything, compact headlamp that offers incredible power. With 60 lumens on max setting, the Black Diamond Spot has ample power for nocturnal route finding on skis, rock or the trail. Really nice lamp for so many uses and yes you truly can ski with this thing at night...ok can't say that you should go flying down a slope at 30+ mph but a nice tour or slow turns it works very well. It really is nice to have options on how much light you need as I know I always feel bad if I want to read in the tent at night and I don't want to keep everyone else up with a super bright light...just a little extra click and boom (more of a woosh) and the lights go down. Keeping it simple is always nice and BD knows a few things about that!
