For 2008 DC has developed an entirely NEW inner-boot for the all-mountain rider, the Allegiance. The Allegiance is the first boot from Dc to feature the Boa Focus System. This is a unique technology with 2 zones for tightening, evenly distributing pressure on both the lower and upper of the boot, not just the upper as in typical boot constructions. This creates the ultimate customized fit. The Allegiance also has DC's newest outsole, the Injected EVA Midsole. It's approximately 40% lighter than other outsoles. WE've taken cues from our skateboard shoe line by incorporating Dynamic Grip Technology and Cold Temperature Rubber in the most significant areas of the sole, creating a podular design that allows for better grip and durability. We've included a Lateral Support Beam to ensure optimum flex and support, and an Articulated Upper Cuff for effortless and instant boot break-in. The Allegiance also has DC's 3D Tongue for comfort, Internal Ankle Brace for support, and RECCO Avalanche Rescue System. Fit Tip: All Boots seem to stretch out about 1/2 size. It is normal to have a smaller Boot size than your shoe size to compensate for the boots stretching and getting "BIGGER" from how they feel in the store. -Make sure to work with a boot tech person to fit the boot to the "SHAPE" of your foot. Fit Shape is vital to the performance of any brand of boot. Be sure to walk around in the boots(10-15min) fully laced to help make sure they are the correct shape for your foot. -For improved fit and comfort consider adding a CUSTOM FOOTBED like "Superfeet" that is properly matched to your arch shape. This will help the boot anatomically support your foot which will reduce pressure points and securely hold your foot in place. -Spend some time choosing your boots they are the most important piece of gear you'll buy. FEATURES: [list] BOA Lacing System: DC has licensed the BOA Lacing System which allows for precise and effortless fit adjustments. The BOA evenly distributes pressure and allows for micro adjustments to the lacing. It's simple: push in the knob and twist clockwise to tighten, pull out the knob and push the tongue forward to loosen. Foam Padding: We lined the boots calf area with soft, comfortable padding to help keep your calves from getting tenderized and the flex of the shin to the legs. Articulated Upper Cuff: The articulated upper construction provides excellent support without sacrificing flex. It gives you more lateral and forward flex-its like instant boot break-in. Internal Ankle Brace:The Adjustable internal ankle brace laces up and secures the liner inside the boot. This helps prevent heel lift and provides a snug fit. 3D Tongue: The Boot Tongue is ergonomically engineered to conform to the natural curvature of the lower leg. Normally the shell of snowboard boots is sewn in two spots to accommodate the curve and the flex of the shin to the leg; with 3D tongue, the construction is seamless to offer flexibility instead of creating pinch points or hot spots as the front of the leg curves in the boot. CTR: Cold Temperature Rubber is yet another exclusive DC TEchnical innovation when the temperature falls to 32 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. The CTR compound hardens to form traction-enhancing spikes. CTR is available on select DC boots. Injection EVA Midsole:Our newest outsole, the injection EVa midsole, is approximately 40% lighter than a typical outsole. WE have kept all the important traction and supportive elements while eliminating all the extra non-essential weight and materials. Giving you the lightest and most functional outsole on the market.
